Why are some emails delayed?

Every Mailmeteor plan comes with a daily sending quota. If a campaign (or several running at the same time) exceeds that limit, Mailmeteor reschedules the extra emails to go out 24 hours later.

In the Dashboard, you can view all emails in a retrying status. If you open one of them, they have a timeline like the following:

Last attempt to send this email failed for the following reason user_quota_exhausted

This indicates that your account has hit its daily sending limit.

Do I need to do anything?

Usually no. Mailmeteor automatically retries sending email up to 5 times before marking it as failed.

Tips to avoid running out of quota

  • Upgrade to a higher tier if you frequently bump into the limit.
  • Use our Autopilot feature to throttle emails over several days.
  • Split large campaigns or stagger them over several days.
  • Avoid launching multiple high-volume campaigns in parallel.
