How can a recipient re-subscribe after unsubscribing by mistake?
If someone clicks Unsubscribe by accident, they can’t restore their subscription on their own (that safeguard prevents spammers from re-adding people without consent).
However, you can re-subscribe them in a few seconds from your Mailmeteor Dashboard.
Re-subscribe from a contact’s profile
- Sign in to the Mailmeteor Dashboard.
- Use the search bar to locate the contact (type their email address) or browse your Contacts list.
- Open the contact’s profile and click Actions > Remove from unsubscribers.
The contact is instantly returned to the “Subscribed” status and can receive future campaigns.
Re-subscribe from the global Unsubscribers list
- Open your list of unsubscribers.
- Find the contact, click it to open the profile, then choose Actions > Remove from unsubscribers.
Good to know
- The action takes effect immediately; there’s no need for the recipient to confirm again.
- Make sure you have the recipient’s explicit permission before resubscribing them, to stay compliant with anti-spam regulations.
