How can a recipient re-subscribe after unsubscribing by mistake?

If someone clicks Unsubscribe by accident, they can’t restore their subscription on their own (that safeguard prevents spammers from re-adding people without consent).
However, you can re-subscribe them in a few seconds from your Mailmeteor Dashboard.

Re-subscribe from a contact’s profile

  1. Sign in to the Mailmeteor Dashboard.
  2. Use the search bar to locate the contact (type their email address) or browse your Contacts list.
  3. Open the contact’s profile and click Actions > Remove from unsubscribers.
The contact is instantly returned to the “Subscribed” status and can receive future campaigns.

Re-subscribe from the global Unsubscribers list

  1. Open your list of unsubscribers.
  2. Find the contact, click it to open the profile, then choose Actions > Remove from unsubscribers.

Good to know

  • The action takes effect immediately; there’s no need for the recipient to confirm again.
  • Make sure you have the recipient’s explicit permission before resubscribing them, to stay compliant with anti-spam regulations.
