Why is the unsubscribe link not appearing at the top of my messages in Gmail?
As part of email best practices, emails sent with Mailmeteor always include one-click unsubscribe headers as specified by Gmail (and other email services providers) guidelines.
It looks something similar to the following:
But only the email service providers (i.e., Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, etc.) are responsible for displaying this link in the recipient’s inbox. In particular, Gmail states in their documentation that there is no guarantee the one-click unsubscribe link will appear at the top of the message even if you have it properly within your header. This is taken from Gmail’s documentation:
They explain that this feature is reserved for good senders, those who follow best practices. Senders deemed not “good” will not have the link displayed.
If you don’t see it, your account might be new or has a low reputation at the moment. You need to send a few more emails to ensure that this feature is enabled by Gmail.
