What’s the difference between aliases and team members?
The alias feature and adding team members serve different purposes within Mailmeteor, depending on how you manage email campaigns and collaborate with your team.
Alias feature
The alias feature allows you to send emails from different email addresses within the same Mailmeteor account.
For example, if you manage multiple email addresses (e.g., [email protected] and [email protected]), you can send campaigns from either address without logging into separate accounts.
Note that emails sent from an alias will appear in the primary inbox (the account associated with your Mailmeteor account), not in the alias’s inbox.
This is ideal for solopreneurs or small teams who manage multiple roles or brands under one person’s control.
Team members
Adding team members involves inviting different users to join your Mailmeteor account with their own email addresses. Each team member can:
- Use their own login credentials.
- Has their own email quota, ensuring no one runs out of sending capacity.
- Manage their own campaigns and analytics independently.
This feature is ideal for teams that need individual access and quotas but want to collaborate within a shared subscription.
In summary
- Use aliases if you’re managing multiple email addresses alone and don’t need separate quotas.
- Add team members if you’re working with others who need their own sending quotas and access.
