Why are images blocked (in email)?

Image blocking is where an email account disables the automatic loading of images within emails.

Images are often blocked in email by default due to security concerns and email client settings. When an email client blocks images, it prevents the images from automatically loading in the email. Instead, the user must manually choose to load the images or allow the email client to load images from trusted sources.
