Pause a warm-up

How to pause warm-up?

Here’s how to pause a warm-up in Mailmeteor:

  1. Sign in to Mailmeteor Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the “Warm-up” section.
  3. Locate the email address you want to pause.
  4. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to it, then select Pause.

What happens when paused?

Once you pause a warm-up:

  • No more warm-up emails will be sent or received.
  • Your email reputation stays intact.
  • You free up a slot on your plan so you can warm-up another email address.

When should I pause warm-up?

There are a few cases where pausing warm-up might make sense. For example, if you’re about to run a high-volume cold email campaign, you may want to pause warm-up temporarily to avoid sending too many emails at once from the same address.

It’s also a good idea to pause if your email provider flags unusual activity. This gives you time to investigate and prevent deliverability issues.

Lastly, if you’re changing email settings (like switching domains or updating your DNS records), pausing warm-up can help ensure a smooth transition without affecting your sender reputation.

How to resume warm-up?

You can restart warm-up anytime by clicking Resume next to the paused address in the Dashboard. When you resume, the warm-up process will restart from the beginning.
