What permissions are needed to use Mailmeteor?
Mailmeteor only requests permissions to send emails and does not require access to your email data, contrary to other mail merge add-ons. This means Mailmeteor cannot read, modify or delete your emails by design.
When installing Mailmeteor for the first time, you’ll see a prompt similar to the following, with all the permissions required to make the add-on run:
Here’s a breakdown of each permission that are required when installing Mailmeteor for Google Sheets for the first time:

How does Mailmeteor tracking work?
Every time you send a campaign with the email tracking enabled, we generate random and unique Mailmeteor IDs for each recipients in order to track opened emails and clicks. These IDs are added as notes to each cells in the “Merge status” column.
Emails data is anonymized and minimized. Mailmeteor never stores the email addresses of recipients who opened or clicked emails. Mailmeteor does not store IP address of your recipient neither.
You can turn off email tracking before sending a campaign by opting out the box “Track emails opened and clicked”.

Mailmeteor complies with the French Data Protection Laws and the European General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR). You have a right of access, correction and removal of your personal data which you may exercise by sending an email at [email protected]
