Bot detection
Sometimes, your recipients have specific antivirus software in place to analyze emails before they reach their inbox. This generally happens when you send emails to large corporations.
These antivirus programs work in pairs with anti-spam filters, but they go one step further by analyzing text, images, and links in your emails.
This might conflict with our tracking technology. To ensure you still have accurate metrics, you can adjust the level of interactions recorded in your emails:
Bot detection levels
Each level records different events:
- All events: Record all opens, clicks, etc.
- Flexible: Record only user interactions, including those with privacy protections, while filtering out known bots.
- Strict: Record only direct human interactions, explicitly excluding all automated systems.
You can access this setting right from your Account > Advanced settings > Event recording.
