Email services

When sending emails with Mailmeteor, you can choose which email service (also called email sending provider or ESP) to use. This flexibility gives you more control over deliverability, sending limits, and which account is used for delivery.

What is an email service?

An email service is the platform used to send your emails. Mailmeteor integrates directly with leading email providers so you can send messages through your own Gmail, Google Workspace or Outlook account.

Each sender in Mailmeteor can be connected to one or more email services. You can also choose which service should be used by default.

Supported email providers

Mailmeteor currently supports the following email services:

  • Gmail (including personal @gmail.com and Google Workspace accounts)
  • Outlook (including @outlook.com, @live.com, @hotmail.com, and Microsoft 365 business accounts)

More providers may be added in the future. If you’d a specific one, let us know.

Gmail integration

Mailmeteor connects to Gmail securely to send emails with your Google Workspace account. Here are the key features and limitations of sending via Gmail:

  • Sends emails directly from your Gmail inbox.
  • Gmail’s daily limit applies (typically 500/day for personal accounts and 2,000/day for Workspace).
  • Emails appear in your “Sent” folder.
  • High deliverability, especially for personalized emails.

Outlook integration

You can also connect Outlook accounts to Mailmeteor using Microsoft’s secure authentication. Here are the key features and limitations of sending via Outlook:

Setting a default email service

Each sender can be linked to multiple email services, but only one can be set as the default. Mailmeteor will always use the default service when sending emails from that sender, including for scheduled campaigns.

To set a default service:

  1. Sign in to the Mailmeteor Dashboard.
  2. Go to your Account, then click on the Senders tab.
  3. Open the sender you’d like to edit.
  4. In the Email services section, click the three-dot menu () next to the desired service and choose Set as default.
